Frešer Sauvignon Blanc 2019 12%, Stajerska, Ritoznoj Stajerska Offers up quite flamboyant aromas of fresh spearmint, dried Provencal herbs and ripe gooseberry/lime fruitiness. Full bodied, with a velvety, continuous mouthfeel, playing out through an accompanying succulent citrusy, lime-like tartness. Has a very long, lively finish. Sampled February 2020, Matjaž says it needs 5-6 months in bottle to show tomato plant leaf and darker fruit aromas of 2018 below. 18/20 

Frešer Sauvignon Blanc 2018 12% Štarjerska-Maribor More darkly fruited and more herbal (fresh coriander) than 2019. Condensed textures are filled with juicy gooseberry flavors. A long finishing, elegant, clean style 17.5/20

Frešer Sauvignon Blanc 2017 A quite floral and fruity wine with spearmint, aloe vera and ‘Juicyfruit’ gum characters. A touch of spritz greets palate, followed by mouth filling, rounded textures and forward fruitiness with a refreshing acidity. 17/20

Frešer Ritoznojcan 2019 11.5% Štarjerska-Maribor Frešer’s housewine is their take on a local traditional Cveck blend: 50% Laski, 35% Riesling &10% Sauvignon Blanc. A nice easy drinking, everyday wine with lovely grapey fruitiness and tart, juicy acidity. Dryish at 3grms Residual Sugar. 15.5/20

Frešer Laski Riesling 2019 12.5% Štarjerska-Maribor Frešer’s serious take on Laski offers up spicy, vanilla bean aromas followed on with grape, apple & spearmint flavors. Full bodied without being heavy, nice density and textures with balancing acidity and quite good length. Unusually dry style with 2.5gm residual sugar. 16/20  

Frešer Laski Riesling 2018 12% Štarjerska-Maribor More mineral driven then 2019. Still fresh and lively on palate. 15.5/20

Frešer Riesling 2018 13% Štarjerska-Maribor From a good even tempered year for Riesling, a classic vintage, between hot and cold. Offers pretty florals: delicate honeysuckle and white blossoms. Seamless, slick and continuous in the mouth, flavors following aromas, carrying on through an ultra-fine viscosity and equally fine acidity. Long finishing, eminently drinkable, with a degree of elegance this is super wine 18/20

Frešer Riesling 2016 13% Štarjerska-Maribor More fruit driven than floral, touch of toastiness to aromas. Clean, bright and minerally in mouth -- like drinking liquid silver – very persistent, with a long, high acidity through finish. 17/20

Frešer Dry Riesling 2015 13.5% Štarjerska-Maribor From a warmer vintage. Half matured in 2000ltr barrels. Offers nicely maturing Riesling aromas of lime and kerosene with white blossoms high tones. Rounded out and full bodied, it carries nicely concentrated white peach flavors through a long, gently tapered finish. 18/20

Frešer Modri Pinot (Noir) 2018 13% Štarjerska-Maribor  60% aged in 2200ltr barrels. Colors are light, bright and transparent -- Pinot you can read through, nice. Initially displaying bright floral, red fruit aromas, after airing these develop more savory, forest floor characters. Silky textures carry lovely primary fresh Red Fruit flavors, balancing acidity and fine tannins. A well-balanced, fruit-focused, New World-like PN style. 17/20
