12% Vinho De Talha DOC. A blend of Perrum 40%, Roupeiro 30%, Rabo de Ovelha 20%, and Mantuedo 10% from a 90 year old field blends. Talha-produced and certified. Complex stone fruit like aromas. In the mouth it offers dense fruit concentration and multi-layered textures, spun forward by a fine racy acidity. Tasted 2018 94…….Tasted at five years of age the wine is very amber, with orange peel aromas, full bodied and generous in the mouth, with cidery, cooked peach/quince marmalada flavors and good length. I expected this wine to be well over the hill from its color but was pleasantly surprised. Radically different from its younger sister above. Holding its own, but near its end of life I suspect.
