A 1/3 each blend of Trincadeira, Aragonez and Moreto kept in talha with skins for four months. Pressed, then transferred to 100-liter talha for 3 months ageing. Spicy, honeyed and packed with red fruit and black cherry flavors. Edgy in the mouth with firm tannins, balanced by fruits and fine acidity. Lots of personality and good flavor length. Tasted St. Martin’s Day 2018. Second tasting January 2019. A mix of brambly blackfruit aromas and menthol notes.  Even more brambly blackfruits in the mouth, kept in check by very fine, powdery mid-palate tannins that carry through the finish. Tons of expansive fruit in this wine, nicely underpinned with balancing structure. 91
